Ace Stone Workers were contacted for the process of cleaning, replacement and repair of the old stones for the portico, the entrance’s beautiful carved arch.
This was done in partnership with other companies that specialize in design and stone specialized cleaning systems, that helped identify the stones that will be restored and the ones that would need replacing. The new pieces are then created using 2D and 3D technology to fit to perfection.
After this process it was time for our masters to get the job done. Our expertise in stonemasonry is the final step in recreating this exquisite piece of history. Setting in place, cleaning and repairing the old stones was done with the utmost attention to detail, each piece being carefully set in place.
The end result as you can see in the pictures is astonishing.
Portico has now 36 restored pieces of stone and 27 new additions. We are glad to have been a part of this restoration team and process.
